The story behind Negri, Quartino & Ferrario

In 1890, amidst a difficult economic climate in Europe, Master Scale Maker Juan Negri decided to leave his native Italy in search of new opportunities. With courage and determination, he arrived in Uruguay and founded a scale factory on General Rondeau Avenue. More than a century later, the company, now located on Avenida Gral. San Martín in the Aguada neighborhood, remains an emblem of perseverance and dedication.

What began as the dream of an immigrant with a passion for precision and excellence in weighing has transformed into a family business that spans generations. Today, Juan Negri's great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren lead Negri, Quartino & Ferrario, honoring a legacy of more than 130 years with the same commitment and innovation vision that inspired its founder.

From its beginnings, Negri, Quartino & Ferrario has not only stood out in the technical field, but also as a pioneering company in the country's industrial sector. Juan Negri was also one of the founders of the Chamber of Industries of Uruguay (CIU), consolidating its contribution to the country's industrial development.

Negri, Quartino & Ferrario's mission is clear: to be leaders offering quality weighing solutions, maintaining a close a trusting relationship with its customers. Its vision aims higher, seeking to establish itself as a benchmark company both locally and internationally.

But what truly distinguishes Negri, Quartino & Ferrario is its entrepreneurial spirit, its ability ti adopt to the times, and its continuous effort to exceed its customers' expectations.
